Regina Synchronized Skating Teams


Fundraising

Regina Synchronized Skating Teams offer many fundraising opportunities through out the year to help pay for skating fees.

Each skater will be responsible to perform one "Sweat Equity" per skating season. Only one per family household is required in the case of more than one skater in the household.

Sweat Equity was designed to ensure that all Regina Synchronized Skating Teams families share in the responsibility for the operating of the club. Each skater is responsible for one of the following:

  • one fundraising event during the year (e.g. chocolate bar sales, meat sales, etc.)
  • one executive position (e.g. team manager, bingo co-ordinator)
  • other position (e.g. assistant team manager, team acccounts manager).

At the beginning of the skating year, each skater's budget is charged $200. Once the family completes the sweat equity assigned, the skater's account receives credit equal to the value of the sweat equity performed. If that family chooses not to complete a sweat equity position, the initial $200 charge remains on the skater's budget and they will be responsible for paying the $200.
